Welcome to Senior Citizen Journal’s New Format

May 25th, 2009 | By | Category: Senior Moments Blog

Having done over 200 articles in the previous format, our advisors suggested it was time for a change.  So, with a few more tweakings, the new and improved Senior Citizen Journal and Senior Moments will be coming at you within short order.  There will be a few bugs to work out, a few kinks (not that we were ever kinky), and likely some wrinkles.  Think of us as Susan Boyle, this is our second attempt to move toward the finals.  If our audience rises to her numbers, you will be reading ghost writers.

Some forthcoming Senior Moments include a Trip Into Yesterday, emphasizing the value of sentiment and memories;  the Fear of Forgetfulness, in which discourgement is given to being intimidated and frightened by occasional lapses of memory; a column on Rules for Companionship, dealing with new relationships, after divorce or death of a spouse;  exploring Secrets to Longevity, in which basic formulas are revealed to continue to feel and behave youthfully and usefully;  Privileges Available to Grandparents, which discusses the advantages of being near your growing up grandchildren; and finally a Memorial Tribute to patriots, soldiers and citizens alike, who contribute to America’s goodness and solidarity!

So continue to join us, you wonderful readers from all over the world.  I wish I knew your name or could see your face or hear your voice or listen to your insights. Your attention to what we have to say here suggests that there must be something in our reflections on occasions which catches your eye, hopefully your heart, and offers insight to issues and concerns that affect your daily life.

Keep reading and we will keep writing!
