Use some Internet sites I’ve found to plan travel to Rome, seniors.  When in Rome…”do as the Romans.”  Here are 74 activities in Rome that will keep you busy during your visit. Looking for popular tours?  Can’t decide what to do in Rome? No problem, Viator has created a list of Rome’s top tours & attractions, what’s popular, what’s new, traveler picks and more.

Rome Guide is a tourist information web site about Rome, Italy.  This site

“…has been created with the aim of giving a wide range of information to all those who are thinking about visiting Rome. Browse this Rome Guide and find a host of information about where to go and what to see, where to sleep and how to get around. Read a little about

the numerous and world famous monuments and museums and start planning your trip now. The “Eternal city”, Rome is not only represented by its masterpieces of art, and breathtaking architecture, monuments and museums but by its typical streets and alleyways where one can discover traits of Italian lifestyle, tradition and culture.”

I love Virtual Tours and Rome is no exception.  My “hero” Rick Steves has this to offer you on special rates.  Rome is without doubt one the most beautiful cities in the world; every year millions of tourists come from around the world to admire the treasures and masterpieces of Roman art and architecture. But a trip to the Eternal City can be eternally confusing for first-time visitors. This guide will make it easier to uncover Rome, offering lots of practical advice that will help you discover and enjoy the city in all its glory.

An interactive map of the city may help you make some plans as to where you want to start.  If you are a little “adventuresome” check out the Segway tours.

Lastly, Because Rome is such a huge tourist draw, choose the date for your trip carefully. The best times of the year to visit are April, May, and late September through October. In the depths of summer, the heat and the crowds make the city nearly unbearable. August in particular should be avoided because this is the month that the entire country of Italy seems to go on vacation.  Have a super trip to Rome folks.  jeb
