10 Volunteer Opportunities For Free Travel and Travel to Work are two programs that help needy people through travel. Here is your chance to give something back, an opportunity to share your skills and knowledge, to meet other travelers or simply to meet the locals. There are many reasons to volunteer while you’re traveling and there are literally thousands of charities and organizations that look for help from passing travelers. While traveling you can share your knowledge and ideas with people. You can help them voluntarily. Many organizations and charities really expect help from travelers. And they wait for travelers expecting some donations or fees to cover costs. But here we are presenting the ways through which you can help people by using very little or no money.

Christian Medical & Dental Associations (Headquarters – Bristol, TN) organizes mission trips to underdeveloped areas.   I have traveled with them on four occasions (Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile and Guatemala).  CMDA mission trips act out the gospel of love by providing medical and dental care for those who would otherwise not receive it.  They provide educational training as well, so that local healthcare providers can offer better care after a team leaves.  Hey, check it out.

The ultimate guide to free travel may be right here.  This article suggests a number of opportunities for free travel, including

  • house sitting
  • volunteer trail hiking
  • sister city exchanges
  • workampers (use your RV to move from one job to another)
  • driveaways (drive someone else’s car to another location on their behalf)
  • hospitality exchanges
  • volunteer farm workers
  • Rotary Club trips
  • home swapping

World travel is cheap and easy. In fact, with a little practice and effort, you can travel the world for free. The idea that travel is expensive and difficult is nonsense peddled by tour companies, hotel chains and corporate media.  Check out this site for more information about less costly travel.

How to take perfect photos while you travel is an e-book download, written by experts with good credentials. It outlines everything you need to know to take great travel photographs with the help of digital gear available these days. Instructions are clear and concise. It is also loaded with practical advice, real-world examples and anecdotes. Of course there are tons of beautiful photos.

Best Travel Guide is another site with a lot of senior aids that elder travelers will find helpful.  All you need is another tip on travel, right?  Well, maybe so, but here are a few more that you just maybe have not thought of.   jeb
