More Budget Travel Suggestions for Seniors

Jun 28th, 2010 | By James E Becker | Category: Senior Travel

Smarter Travel provides information and inspiration called Seniors on the Go.   At the bottom of this page I found Cheap Flights for London by Booking Buddy.  London is a great city to explore on foot as the well known landmarks and famous parks are all located in the city centre. Another plus is that the big museums do not charge an entrance fee and are free to explore. You may choose a flight from your preferred airport and then choose from one of four search carrier sites.  I chose BA (British Airways) as it is a favorite in my family.  I pulled up a date (Feb 9-16) from Chicago and got a price of $289 one way.  That is a pretty good price.  See what you come up with on this site.

I almost passed up on this one, Air Gorilla.  I’m glad that I took the time to investigate a bit as it is a very nice site.  Fast and with good information on flights and more.  I booked a flight from PHX to CDG and found a nice ticket price for $636 on United Airlines.  Only problem is the connection in ORD (Chicago).  LAX to CDG was only $532 with a connection with Dulles in DC.  That is a good price folks.  JFK to CDG $323 via Brussels.  SwissAir $324 via Geneva.  They search out the Low Fare always with several choices.  Flight duration is the only problem I see:  10 hrs and 40 mins.  Ugh!  Then again I do remember my flight from SFO (San Francisco) to NRT (Narita-Tokyo), 10 hrs and 18 mins (5,148 miles / 8,286 km). Same deal.

Their overture link provided this information:

“AirGorilla is a leader in Internet travel services. The company was founded in February, 2001, and is located in the San Diego area in California. They combine discounted fares from multiple participating air consolidators with the published fares of hundreds of airlines to provide the best selection of low fares you can find. AirGorilla also has developed a great array of discount travel rates for customers to book.  It is loaded with lots of other types of bargain flights and low price airfare deals.  After booking a flight you can view a live display of your reservation on our confirm flights page.”

They have friendly agents who can help you with any additional assistance you may seek, if you cannot find your answer in their help manual. If you do not see your question listed, you can leave your email address and question, and get an email response with the answer. If you would like some additional reasons to trust Air Gorilla with your travel plans, you might check out their Testimonials Page.   jeb
