Senior Vacation Time: Doing What you Want

Jun 30th, 2011 | By Dr Jerry D Elrod | Category: Senior Moments Blog

Our vacation is imminent. We are about to spend some well deserved and highly anticipated time with dear, close and long time friends. It will be in a neutral location, one where we have not been before. It promises relaxation, frivolity, enchantment, lazy days and comfortable nights. It will be an opportunity to do what we want. That’s what a vacation should be. That’s why we take them.

It will not be a holiday with heavy expense. It will be within the range of reason and pleasure in such a way that we won’t ruin it afterwards by worrying about how much it cost. We won’t fly. We will enjoy our well performing Toyota Camry Hybrid, which gets almost 40 mpg on the highway. We will prepare most of our meals, engage in entertainment that is suitable and inviting for the area. It will be fun. It will be an occasion for reward, for reinforcing friendship, for laughter, for casual laziness, for comfortable shoes and cool clothing.
