FIVE YEARS AND COUNTINGAug 8th, 2013 | By Dr Jerry D Elrod | Category: Senior Moments Blog
Senior Citizen Journal 5th Anniversary
SCJ celebrates its fifth year this month. Articles and columns have exceeded 2500. Readers from all over the world have visited us. We have been allowed into homes virtually everywhere on the planet.
This is both humbling and motivating. So long as you are there, we will be here. Having your confidence and trust in what we have to say is reward enough for our endeavors.
Some days it is quite a challenge to come up with topics of interest. Once in a while there are more topics to emerge than time or ability allows for response. A few occasions have blocked our will and willingness to post articles. Some, such as the death of my mother, required taking some time for a respite, reflection, and renewal.
Recent experiences requiring attention to health issues have required paying attention to those, in spite of our desire to ignore them.
No day passes that we do not think about you, our reader. You don’t have to come here, but for some reason, out of some intrigue, because of some interest, you do. And, that honors us and propels us forward.
Whatever you do for the fulfillment of your desires and goals, may it offer to others a gift of your sincere self. That is, finally, what our efforts have been about. Your contribution is continuing to believe that there is enough of something worthwhile that you continue coming back.
Gratitude is an emotion that runs deep. Appreciation is an act of love. Thank you is the coin of the realm when it comes to authors trying to please and stimulate readers.
