Senior Citizens have greater need than any other time in their lives to preserve good health. Age invariably takes its toll on everyone who reaches the magic Senior age, however that may be defined.
In addition to good medical care, good nutrition, loving relationships and satisfaction with life, senior citizens can make major contributions to staying healthy through a properly designed and supervised fitness program. One’s primary care physician, whether a medical doctor or a naturopathic physician, needs to be consulted regarding limitations that may need to be imposed due to medical conditions. Also, nutritional supplements may be prescribed that may go a long way to support good health in senior years. Many insurance plans now have special programs designed to keep seniors healthy, rather than treat illness after it has already taken hold.
